This page contains the locations of all Cultist Clues, Cultists, and how to kill them to Upgrade the Spear and win legendary weapons and equipment. Shortly into your story in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Alexios and Kassandra will be made aware of Cultists the Cult of Kosmos, a creepy group of powerful individuals with a suffocating grip on the Greek world. Each of the masked Cultists are people of importance, and they've set their sights on creating an endless war to maintain their dominance from the shadows.

While it isn't your main objective, you'll be tasked with uncovering the identities of each of the cultists in your adventure and eliminating them to find their mysterious leader.

Every cultist leader is hiding somewhere in the world, and can be uncovered via various clues or by killing cultists in the same group. Each cultists also carries a piece of Legendary Armor, and defeating the entire group - including the Cultist Sage that leads them - will unlock the Legendary Set Bonus Engraving.

Cultists has a minimum level, but like most enemies in the game, they will auto-level alongside you if you do not kill them at their base level, and their legendary armor will also adjust in level too.

Elpenor

• Base Level: Level 11
• Group: Eyes of Kosmos
• Drop: Scaled Torso (Torso)

Elpenor is the first cultist in the Eye of Kosmos, and is also the very first cultist you encounter in your story. Because of this, there are no clues to unravel his identity, and you will encounter him in the main story.

Elpenor is encountered in the Snake in the Grass quest, and once you kill his body double, you can find him in a cave on the West side of the Snake Temple in Phokis, located in the Valley of the Snake.

Sotera

• Base Level: Level 13
• Group: Eyes of Kosmos
• Drop: Slithering Belt (Waist)

Sotera is the second cultist in the Eye of Kosmos, and is one of the cultists revealed after The Serpent's Lair main story.

To find Sotera, travel to the Port of Nisaia on the Southeast side of Megaris on the water's edge. You'll find her near the docks in her personal quarters by a large boat.

The Master

• Base Level: Level 19
• Group: Eyes of Kosmos
• Drop: Viper's Hood (Head)

The Master is the third cultist in the Eye of Kosmos, and can only be revealed by completing certain quests.

To uncover The Master, ignore the clue about the quarry, as he will not appear at the quarry just yet. Instead, you'll need to complete four specific side quests. Start the side quest Citizenship Test in Athens with Sokrates and Akibaldes, located by the Temple of Hephaistos in West Athens. Look for the gold box with the exclamation point in it on your map. If you've already done this quest, keep reading.

Follow this quest chain with Witness Him, then Free Speech (located by the Akropolis), and On a High Horse (located in the Port of Piraeus), until you start the quest A Life's Worth (located at Mt. Pentelikos Village OR at Silver Mountain) to the south of Athens.

It during the A Life's Worth quest that you will uncover The Master's identity as part of the quest, and after making a decision, you will be able to kill him.

Hermippos

• Base Level: Level 19
• Group: Eyes of Kosmos
• Drop: Venom Gloves (Arms)

Hermippos is the fourth cultist in the Eye of Kosmos, and can be revealed in one of two ways.

Hermippos can be uncovered in two ways. One of which includes taking out an elite captain, a Polemarch, at Fort Phyle in northern Attika. The Polemarch is the captain with the biggest icon, and taking this enemy out in a fort can be a tough challenge.

You can also uncover the identity of this cultist by completing a particular Side Quest - Free Speech - located in Attika, which unlocks by first completing the side quest Citizenship Test, followed by Witness Him, by talking with Sokrates and Akibaldes by the Temple of Hephaistos.

After completing the first two side quests, you can find Sokrates with Aristophanes at the Akropolis where the Free Speech quest can be started.

Midas

• Base Level: Level 18
• Group: Eyes of Kosmos
• Drop: Noxious Boots (Legs)

Midas is the fifth cultist in the Eyes of Kosmos, and is one of the cultists identified by completing the main story.

You can find Midas the Banker after completing the Serpent's Lair quest, and he can be found in the streets of Argos in the region of Argolis, often by the Temple of Poseiden or the Leader House.

Nyx the Shadow (Sage)

• Base Level: 18
• Group: Eyes of Kosmos
• Drop: Dagger of Kronus

Nyx the Shadow is the Cultist Sage of the Eyes of Kosmos, and can only be revealed when all other cultists from this group are defeated.

Once all of the Eyes of Kosmos cultists are dead, the way to Nyx will be shown. She's located at the Agora by the Theater of Dionysos in Greater Athens in the Attika region, located to the Southeast of the Akropolis on a balcony overlooking the nearby Message Board.

She may not have any bodyguards, nor will she make the first move, but she's fairly strong and quick - and can use smoke bombs to vanish to try and reposition behind your for sneak attacks.

Epiktetos the Forthcoming

• Base Level: Level 10
• Group: The Silver Vein
• Drop: N/A

Epiktetos the Forthcoming is the first cultist in The Silver Vein, but is killed during a story event in The Serpent's Lair main quest, and is therefore not a target.

The Centaur of Euboea

• Base Level: Level 14
• Group: The Silver Vein
• Drop: Agamemnon's Waistband (Waist)

The Centaur is the second cultist in The Silver Vein, and is one of the cultists revealed after The Serpent's Lair main quest.

To uncover the Centaur, you can find him on the large island of Euboea as part of the Abantis Islands north of Attika. He resides inside the Abandoned Mine on the northeast side of the island, isolated from the rest of the guards patrolling the mine entrance - though he does have a wolf companion with him at all times.

The Chimera

• Base Level: Level 14
• Group: The Silver Vein
• Drop: Boots of Agamemnon (Legs)

The Chimera is the third cultist in The Silver Vein, and is one of the cultists revealed after The Serpent's Lair main quest.

Once revealed, you can find The Chimera on the island region of Andros in Steropes Bay. She is located on the southern tip of the island at a Beach Encampment, just south of the Forge where you travel to shortly after completing The Serpent's Lair.

The Silver Griffin

• Base Level: Level 22
• Group: The Silver Vein
• Drop: Agamemnon's Body Armor (Torso), Agamemnon's Gauntlets (Arms - located with clue)

The Silver Griffin is the fourth cultist in The Silver Vein, and can only be revealed through the death of another cultist.

To reveal the identity of The Silver Griffin, you will need to kill The Chimera, and then look for the Silver Mine above the Lavrio Silver Mine in southern Attika. While the cultist is not here, you can search the largest cave chamber for an upper ledge on the left where a large chest holds the clue you need.

Once revealed, you can find The Silver Griffin at Prasonisia island off the coast of Mykonos, which is the easternmost of the two Silver Islands east of Attika.

Machaon the Feared

• Base Level: Level 45
• Group: The Silver Vein
• Drop: Agamemnon's Helmet (Head)

Machaon the Feared is the fifth cultist in The Silver Vein, and can only be revealed through the death of another cultist.

Once revealed, you will be able to find this cultist at the Port of Patrai in the region of Achaia.

Polemon the Wise (Sage)

• Base Level: Level 50
• Group: The Silver Vein
• Drop: Elysian Axe (Heavy Blade)

Polemon the Wise if the Sage of the Silver Vein, and can only be revealed once all other cultists in this group have been eliminated.

Once revealed, you can find Polemon the Wise at the Teichos of Herakles Cult Stronghold, located in the region of Achaia, much like Machaon the Feared.

Brison

• Base Level: Level 17
• Group: Delian League
• Drops: Athenian War Hero Gauntlets (Arm)

Brison is the first cultist from the Delian League, and can only be uncovered by completing the main story.

To reveal the identity of this cultist, you must reach Attika and continue the main quest until Perikles tasks you with helping several of his friends. Complete the main quest Escape from Athens to help Phidas get from the port to the island region of Seriphos to get the clue you need.

Once revealed, Brison can be found at the Salamis Marble Quarry on the Isle of Salamis that's west of Attika. You can usually find him in his quarters on the North side of the quarry under an overhang near an Ainigmata Ostraka document.

Podarkes the Cruel

• Base Level: Level 23
• Group: Delian League
• Drops: Athenian War Hero Boots (Legs)

Podarkes the Cruel is the second cultist from the Delian League, and can be exposed by engaging in a side quest.

In order to expose this cultist, travel to the island of Delos and engage in the side quest Rebel, until you are able to take part in a Nation Battle, and then you can expose and kill him.

Rhexenor the Hand

• Base Level: Level 25
• Group: Delian League
• Drops: Athenian War Hero Belt (Waist)

Rhexenor the Hand is the third cultist from the Delian League, and can be uncovered by continuing the Main Questline.

Once you reach the story point to uncover Rhexenor, you will find him in Athens, in the region of Attika.

Iobates the Stoic

• Base Level: Level 49
• Group: Delian League
• Drops: Athenian War Hero Armor (Torso)

Iobates the Stoic is the fourth cultist from the Delian League, and can be revealed by killing Podarkes as well as high level mercenaries.

Once uncovered, you can find Iobates on Lemnos, in the region of Thasos. He is the Nation Leader of the region.

Kodros the Bull

• Base Level: Level 50
• Group: Delian League
• Drops: Athenian War Hero Helmet (Head)

Kodros the Bull is the fifth cultist from the Delian League, and can be revealed by killing Titos of Athens in The Arena.

Once revealed, you can find Kodros at the Leader's House in the city of Mytilene, in the region of Lesbos in the far Northeast of the map of Greece.

Kleon the Everyman (Sage)

• Base Level: Level 40
• Group: Delian League
• Drops: Paris's Bow

Kleon the Everyman is the sage of the Delian League, and unlike other sages, is revealed as part of the main storyline, where you will be forced to encounter and kill him.

Skylax the Fair

• Base Level: Level 17 (14 when vulnerable)
• Group: Peloponnesian League
• Drops: Spartan War Hero Armor (Torso)

Skylax the Fair is the first cultist of the Peloponnesian League, and is one of the few cultists to also be a region leader.

In order to uncover the identity of this cultist, you must journey to the Xerxes Military Fort just outside of the town of Opous in the Lokris region, and loot the Nation Treasure Chest. The fort is a big area, but a central structure hides the Nation Chest and has a hole in the wall you can slip into for stealing.

Once revealed, you can find Sklyax the Fair in control of the region of Euboea to the East of Lokris. He can be first found in the Leader's House in Chalkis City, but is surrounded by high level captains.

If you want a sneakier approach, begin killing the soldiers on the island, and burning war supplies at the Chalkis Farm, Oreos Quarry, and Dystos Fort to make the leader vulnerable. After this, Skylax will drop in level, and take to the streets of Chalkis to try and raise morale, leaving him isolated.

The Monger

• Base Level: Level 21
• Group: Peloponnesian League
• Drops: Spartan War Hero Helmet (Head), Monger's Men (Ship Crew)

The Monger is the second cultist of the Peloponnesian League, and his location is only revealed by following the main story.

Once you have uncovered the clue for this cultist, you will still not be able to find him until you uncover his location during the main story. When your travels take you to Korinthia, you'll soon find the identity of The Monger, and plan to assassinate him during the quest Monger Down - though you can choose to fight him in a cave, or make a public spectacle of him at the theater.

Depending on which action you take, you'll be able to convince another cultist to back down if you killed The Monger out of view of the public.

Silanos of Paros

• Base Level: Level 22
• Group: Peloponneisan League
• Drops: Spartan War Hero Gauntlets (Arms)

Silanos of Paros is the third cultist of the Peloponneisan League, and cannot be uncovered except by the main story.

Kallias

• Base Level: Level 36
• Group: Peloponnesian League
• Drops: Spartan War Hero Boots (Legs)

Kallias is the fourth cultist of the Peloponnesian League, and unlike other cultists, wanders frequently once exposed. Uncover his identity by killing Silanos.

Once uncovered, you can find Kallias patrolling the region of Elis, walking between Fort Koroibos and the main city, as well as the road between them.

Lagos the Archon

• Base Level: Level 26
• Group: Peloponnesian League
• Drops: Spartan War Hero Belt (Waist)

Lagos the Archon is the fifth cultist of the Peloponneisan League, and is one of the cultists whose clues are derived from the main quest: The Serpent's Lair.

The clue will point to his location in Fort Samikon, in the region of Arkadia, which will be revealed during the main story. Note that you will have the option to kill or spare this cultist.

Pausanias (Sage)

• Base Level: Level 32
• Group: Peloponnesian League
• Drops: Xiphos of Dionysos

Pausanias is the sage of the Peloponneian League, and unlike other Sages, you do not necessarily have to kill all of the cultists in the group to uncover his identity.

Upon encountering Lagos, you can choose to spare him instead of killing him. Otherwise, you will have to kill all of the cultists, as well as killing Stentor and looting his body.

Once uncovered, you can find the sage at Lakonia.

Asterion

• Base Level: Level 14
• Group: Gods of the Aegean Sea
• Drops: Pirate Gauntlets (Arms)

Asterion is the first cultist of the Gods of the Aegean Sea, and is one of the cultists revealed after completing The Serpent's Lair.

After revealing his identity, you can find Asterion sailing his personal elite ship around the island of Andros to the East of Attika. He can often be found in the waters to the North of the island, but also makes laps around the region as well.

Be warned, as he's often found in company of similarly leveled pirate ships, and they will often attack as one group, so you may either want to pick them off one by one and retreat, or try and lure either the pirates or Asterion away from each other when you engage.

Sokos

• Base Level: Level 23
• Group: Gods of the Aegean Sea
• Drops: Pirate Waistband (Waist)

Sokos is the second cultist of the Gods of Aegean Sea, and his clue can be revealed by defeating Asterion.

The clue will point you to the Obsidian Islands, and to force him out of hiding you must engage in a Conquest Battle for Melos, and his ship will take part in the naval battle.

The Octopus

• Base Level: Level 27
• Group: Gods of the Aegean Sea
• Drops: Pirate Armor (Torso)

The Octopus is the third cultist of the Gods of the Aegean Sea, and the only clue comes from killing Sokos.

Once Sokos is killed, you can find The Octopus sailing between the islands of Thera and Anaphi.

Melanthos

• Base Level: Level 30
• Group: Gods of the Aegean Sea
• Drops: Pirate Hood (Head)

Melanthos is the fourth cultist of the Gods of the Aegean Sea, and his clue can be obtained by killing The Octopus.

To expose this cultist, you must kill the leader of Messara, which will then force the cultist into sailing around the region of Messara and leave them vulnerable to attack.

The Mytilenian Shark

• Base Level: Level 30
• Group: Gods of the Aegean Sea
• Drops: Pirate Threads (Legs)

The Mytilenian Shark is the fifth cultist of the Gods of the Aegean Sea, and like the other cultists in this group, can only be exposed by killing the others - namely, Melanthos. You can also expose him by looting the underwater Palace of Amphitrite, northeast of Thera Island.

Once uncovered, you can find this cultist sailing around the waters of the region of Samos.

The Hydra (Sage)

• Base Level: Level 50
• Group: Gods of the Aegean Sea
• Drops; Gorgoneon Xiphos, Cultist Crew Cosmetics

The Hydra is the Sage who leads the Gods of the Aegean Sea, and can only be exposed by eliminating all the cultists of this group.

Once exposed, The Hydra can be found circling the waters in the far Southwest of the island of Messenia.

Zoisme

• Base Level: Level 12
• Group: Worshippers of the Bloodline
• Drops: Helmet of the Immortal (Head)

Zoisme is the first cultist of the Worshippers of the Bloodline, and can be uncovered after completing The Serpent's lair quest.

Once uncovered, you can fin Zoisme at Wild Bear cave in the top center of the Malis region. You can often find her outside the cave, while the bears may stay inside, letting you eliminate her first without worrying about additional threats.

Chrysis

• Base Level: Level 16
• Group: Worshippers of the Bloodline
• Drops: Gauntlets of the Immortal (Arms)

Chrysis is the second cultist of the Worshippers of the Bloodline, and is uncovered during the Main Storyline.

You can uncover this cultist's identity at the conclusion of the quest Speak No Evil. Once uncovered, you will face her during the quest Ashes to Ashes, but she will escape if you choose to save the baby during this quest. If you do this, you can find Chrysis by undertaking a nearby side quest outside of Argos, Death Comes for Us All.

Harpalos

• Base Level: Level 18
• Group: Worshippers of the Bloodline
• Drops: Boots of the Immortal (Legs)

Harpalos is the third cultist in the Worshippers of the Bloodline, and can be found via unique circ*mstance.

In order to get the info on Harpalos needed to reveal his identity, you must search for cult-like enemies called the Followers of Ares - not Cultist Guards found at sites like the Snake Temple or Tomb of Tityos. the followers can be sometimes be found in cultist caves, or at the Pillar of Dionysos in Megaris.

Otherwise, you can simply eliminate Chrysis in Argolis.

After uncovering his identity, you can find Harpalos with his Followers of Ares on the island of Keos in the Cave of Ares. The cave is located next to an underwater pool you can dive down into from the Reclining Lion, and make your way to the mouth of the cave to where the cult leader and his bodyguards are.

Diona

• Base Level: 36
• Group: Worshippers of the Bloodline
• Drops: Armor of the Immortal (Torso)

Diona is the fourth cultist in the Worshippers of the Bloodline, and can be found on Kythera Island.

To expose her identity as a cultist, you must complete a series of side quests given by Diona herself, starting with the quest "I, Diona". When you reach the end of the quest line, it will be revealed that Diona has an identical twin sister and you must kill the correct twin, as they will be standing next to each other. The correct one is that Diona is the sister on the right.

Melite

• Base Level: Level 33
• Group: Worshippers of the Bloodline
• Drops: Waistband of the Immortal (Waist)

Melite is the fifth cultist of the Worshippers of the Bloodline, and can be uncovered by eliminating other cultists.

To expose his identity and location, first defeat Diona on Kythera Island, then complete a series of side quest in the Pephka region, starting with "Minotaur de Force" and ending with "No More Bull".

Once exposed, Melite can be found in Messara, at Kresila’s Residence.

Iokaste the Seer (Sage)

• Base Level: Level 50
• Group: Worshippers of the Bloodline
• Drops: Rod of Asklepios

Iokaste the Seer is the Sage of the Worshippers of the Bloodline.

To uncover the sage's identity, you must defeat all of the cultists in this group.

Once exposed, this sage can be found at the Anavatos Ruins in the region of Chios.

Okytos the Great

• Base Level: Level 18
• Group: Heroes of the Cult
• Drops: Waistband of Achilles / Amazon's Tassets (Waist)

Okytos the Great is the first cultist in the Heroes of the Cult, and can be uncovered during The Serpent's Lair Quest

Once uncovered, you can find Okytos at the Temple of Poseidon at the Sanctuary of Sounion in Lower Attika just South of Athens. Okytos is not in a restricted area, letting you set up an easy assassination, though he will have soldiers to help in the area.

Swordfish

• Base Level: Level 29
• Group: Heroes of the Cult
• Drops: Bracers of Achilles / Amazon's Bracers (Arms)

Swordfish is the second cultist of the Heroes of the Cult, and is one of the cultists whose clues can be found from The Serpent's Lair quest.

The clue will point you to Messara, where you can find Swordfish at the Fisherman's Beacon.

Belos the Beast of Sparta

• Base Level: Level 29
• Group: Heroes of the Cult
• Drops: Armor of Achilles / Amazon's Armor (Torso)

Belos the Beast of Sparta is the third cultist in the Heroes of the Cult, and can only be found in the Arena.

Pallas the Silencer

• Base Level: Level 45
• Group: Heroes of the Cult
• Drops: Circlet of Achilles / Amazon's Circlet

Pallas the Silencer is the fourth cultist of the Heroes of the Cult, and his clue is first revealed from the The Serpent's Lair quest.

The clue points to a merchant in Korinthia, and encountering the blacksmith in the main city of Korinth, you can purchase an item from miscellaneous tab to uncover the identity of this cultist.

Once exposed, Pallas can be found on the main battleground in Achaia.

Deianeira

• Base Level: Level 34
• Group: Heroes of the Cult
• Drops: Greaves of Achilles / Amazon's Greaves (legs)

Deianeira is the fifth cultist of the Heroes of the Cult, and can be revealed by defeating other cultists.

To uncover this cultist, defeat Okytos the Great, at which point you will learn that Deianeria is involved in the conquest of Boeotia.

Once uncovered, you can either find her roaming the region of Boeotia, or at the Cave of the Oracle if you choose to engage in her quest.

Exekias the Legend (Sage)

• Base Level: Level 50
• Group: Heroes of the Cult
• Reward: Typhon's Mace (Heavy Blunt Weapon)

Exekias the Legend is the Sage of the Heroes of the Cult, and is also the number one mercenary in all of Greece.

Because of this, you can either uncover him while traversing the world at large, or pinpoint his location by defeating all the cultists in this group.

Since all mercenaries will travel Greece and appear at random locations, you may or may not find him before you uncover his identity as the cult sage.

Deimos

• Base Level: Level 35
• Group: The Chosen One
• Drops: Demigod armor (full set) and Sword of Damokles

Deimos can only be killed at the end of the main story, on Mount Taygetos in Lakonia, during the quest "Where It All Began".

The Ghost of Kosmos

The Ghost of Kosmos is the faceless and enigmatic leader of the cult, even above Deimos, who leads from the shadows. This leader is so mysterious that only by defeating the various cult Sages will you learn anything about this leader.
